Red Beautiful

We bought a family membership for Red Butte Garden today. It was relatively inexpensive. We'd only have to go once as a whole family for it to pay for itself-- three times as a couple. Totally worth it. It's a garden of Eden right now. Gorgeous. It'll be the perfect destination for low-key (now free!) dates throughout the summer and fall.

Did you know there's such a thing as white wisteria?!
Until today, I didn't.
Not that you really need white when you have all that gorgeous purple.

So many places to explore with no dogs (or dog messes), no bicycles,
and surprisingly few people.
They have benches throughout and some benches swing.
I think it's my new favorite place.

  1. I've never been. I'd love to go--just need to convince my family.

  2. Beautiful. We wentz a lot when it was free, but a membership might be a good idea

  3. Yes, better to have a membership because it's crowded on the free days. Also, different things bloom different times of the year. The wisteria was never in bloom on the free days I've seen.

  4. We used to go to Red Butte a lot before it expanded and started charging. It is so beautiful there. A wonderful place for a picnic. Do they still have the children's garden with fun statues?

  5. Yes the children's garden is still there and even better than ever. They have a lot of creative gardening ideas and a fun red-sand sandbox. It's definitely worth a revisit.
